He was floating again. Kamal the Third. I wasn’t very good at keeping the fish alive. It was the 80s, fish bowls on dressers, big shoulders, even bigger hair. We didn’t know better-we just knew more. More volume. More drama. More hairspray. Turns out that was the real killer. A fine, invisible film settling on the water , courtesy of my hairstyle. It’s ironic how beauty routines had unintended casualties. If the fish were floating, I do wonder what all that spray was doing to us… mmm? I should be so lucky … la la

She’s got a secret… shhh Mermaids have always carried that playful, irresistible energy. A little mischievous, a little wild, and absolutely aware of their power. This artwork captures that spirit through vibrant colour, fluid movement, and a sense of light-hearted mystery. Fantasy meets modern whimsy, created to spark imagination and bring a touch of mischief to any space. And yes -I may know a thing or two about mermaids. One of my most legendary dress-up moments involved a tail, confidence, and prosecco. Graceful? Debatable. Memorable? Absolutely

I love painting the sea, summer, and all the colours but sometimes I feel conflicted. I live in a landlocked country, surrounded by the Alps, nothing like the coasts I grew up with. And yet… making a splash.

It was school summer holidays and we were at the beach. I was feeling rather cool standing in the middle of our tin dinghy, ready to push the throttle as dad had instructed. He was in the water holding the boat after taking it off the trailer. „Ok , go now he said “ getting ready to hop over as I slowly moved forward . Full throttle !!! Whoops , the dingy lunged forward, while dad disappeared under the take-off wave . Just a split second - to feel shock and panic , then the giggles. ( nervous laughter) . Everyone was fine, he resurfaced laughing. Confidence and coordination are not the same thing . New art work, just a slice of the scene .

You know that drawer. The one that won’t open unless you give it a good pull and have to close it with your feet, because it’s absolutely crammed with the things you couldn’t quite throw away. I’ve been opening mine lately. Not to tidy it.( who am I kidding ) Not to organise it. But to look and listen. All those bits and bobs have inspired a workshop . Collections becoming beautiful compositions. I’ll share more soon. For now… what’s hiding in your drawer?

January tends to spin faster than I’d like. So I slowed it down and repurposed two old globes. Potentially looking at holiday destinations. Anyone got plans ? Curious what comes next , more globes? ?

Inner Sanctuary : a modern Venus within a shell, embodying feminine strength, self-protection and inner power. Venus makes me think of two things: women adventuring boldly with Venus Adventures - my good friend’s company and that anthem I can’t get out of my head: “I’m your Venus, I’m your fire…” Inner sanctuary isn’t a place. Sneak peek - Here is number #2 ( you voted ) from my Echos of the Ocean Collection ! ( got side tracked with. All that festive stuff ) I’m actually wearing a beanie because it’s freezing and I’m day-dreaming of summer. I love long beach walks, hunting for shells (slightly illegal now? 😅), sea glass and driftwood. I even have a little Oceania collection somewhere… which might just turn into a project or for my upcoming workshop. Two big shells from my childhood beachcombing ended up back in Switzerland with me. When I hold them I’m transported back. Cold hands , warm memories, ocean dreams .

Every year I choose a word. Last year it was Dynamic and wow, I lived that one. For 2026, I’m choosing Magnetic. I’ve done the work (and yes, there’s always more), laid the foundations, shown up consistently. Now I’m letting my creations speak, my voice carry…….and seeing what happens when I stop pushing and start attracting. Momentum without burnout. Freedom with substance. Grounded, with room to grow. The jelly fish has a deep spiritual meaning surprisingly. It’s not just something you throw at your brother (a summer holiday memory from long ago ) It symbolizes resilience, flow and trust in the universe. As we drift into the new year a little reminder to go with the flow and adapt to whatever the year throws your way .Even if it gets a bit wobbly!!

THE YEAR I SAID YES This year was movement. Heat. Trains. Deadlines. Firsts. A little madness I built a portfolio. Then a website (with a bit of tech help and hair pulling) I melted in 49° visiting family in Oz. Designed and held my own exhibition. Stepped into curating with Turquoise Iris Journal. Sold my first $$$ original on canvas (that one changed me). Taught upcycling in Zurich. Painted postcards at the Kursaal casino. Entered my first digital exhibition and danced at the artist party. Created prints. Finally turned the switch ON so you can buy them. Angels became mini prints and cards - dedicated to women with breast cancer. Alsace with Chéri & family. Trier by train for a Annie Sloan stockist event . Venice by train for my first international exhibition -pinch me moment !! Madly finishing work with “how many hours left??? I didn’t play small this year. I travelled. I showed up. I said yes. 👉 swipe for the ride

My own mountain legend started differently: I got nicknamed Bergschnecken (mountain snail) during a chaotic sledding mission, and it followed me onto the ski pistes. People often ask how long a painting takes. The truth is, it depends. Some days everything moves fast and the canvas shifts in big, obvious ways. Other days the changes are so subtle I take photos just to see if anything happened at all. It’s all part of the process. Now you have met all the angels .This collection began when I invited three local friends, each touched by breast cancer to “christen” my blank canvases with their words, feelings, and thoughts. Their words became the emotional foundation for each painting. Throughout the process, I shared updates with these amazing women, keeping them part of the creation. When the paintings were finished, I asked each of them (and another dear friend in Australia) to offer me two names for the angels. Then, in a way that felt truly magical, the angels seemed to choose their own names. It was powerful and emotional, as if the spirit of each woman was guiding the final touch. I had the wings drawn and was all set to start my underpainting… then somehow the rubber (that’s “eraser” for some of you!) ended up in my hand. Before I knew it, the wings were gone, and I was sketching koi fish instead. Funny thing although I do love fish, Koi were not a favorite. But I felt completely drawn to them (pun absolutely intended). The very next day, we went out for dinner and, no kidding we got seated right next to a koi tank. They’re symbols of prosperity and good luck… loving that little wink from the universe! The Courage to Bloom I remember my hand was red—probably from a little smack—but it’s a long time ago, so the details are a bit fuzzy. Mum had just started her very first garden on the farm. The climate was harsh, so those red carnations blooming felt like a small victory. I was the little “rat bag” — four years old, picking the flowers, I believe even eating some. Tears rolling down my chubby cheeks but I just couldn’t stop picking those pretty flowers. Neither of us giving in ! When I was younger, I was a bit of a copycat—I wanted to be like my friends. My best friend was petite and cute, while I was tall and uncoordinated (or “unco,” as we used to say). I didn’t quite know how to fit into my own skin yet. But years later, everything started to shift. As a fashion design student with white-blonde hair and wild, out-there outfits, I finally began to feel like myself. I remember my mum saying, “I told you to be individual.” And she was right. I still can picture the two girls knocking on the window of the tea houses grimy window.They were dressed in their tradition hill tribe clothing and had huge grins in their faces, they held silver jewelry in their hands.They were so cute I couldn’t resist and I ended up buying a traditional silver collar style necklace. It’s a treasured souvenir from Sapa Vietnam.Ooh I just remembered I have some earrings too. I might have to bust them out tomorrow. Who wants to see the rest of this painting??

« Equilibrium » my latest art ! In a world of constant highs and lows, true peace comes from not resisting either side, but from embracing the balance that holds them together. Dancing around the living room is also very liberating!

This painting took me on a bit of an unexpected adventure. My idea started with balance( because we could all do with some ) movement and strength and naturally lots of vibrant colour . I had to have x-ray vision to see through all the layers.Figuring out how all the elements fit together was part of the magic mess.I did struggle with dividing a circle evenly( maths challenged).I had to laugh at myself when my brother said why didn’t you use a protractor? -“a what?” That’s what I love about painting it’s not just about the end result, but the whole journey getting there. I’d love to know what you see or feel from this painting , I’m always curious how others read the layers?

This painting was inspired from a holiday in Sicily, where I was completely blown away by the stunning monuments and ancient ruins. Bringing that inspiration to life was an adventure especially when it came to the tiled details! We found a lost pigeon hopping around the garden, unable to fly. Cheri who was too scared to touch him made me pick him up before the neighbor’s cats did. A tiny metal bracelet on his leg revealed he was a homing pigeon from Germany. We named him Lucky and cared for him over the next few days but no matter how much he rested he still couldn’t fly. Worried, I took him to the vet hoping they could fix him up and send him on his way, preferably without sending me a huge bill! A few days later I got an unexpected call from the police. Lucky had been shot and the vet had removed a pellet from his wing and patched him up. We like to believe he eventually made his way home.
